Dr. Cubit conducts dynamic workshops concerning career development or workforce development issues. These topics include:
Dr. Cubit's Bio Dr. Cubit's primary function is a workforce developments professional. Dr. Cubit has directed services by providing leadership and guidance on planning, developing, and implementing a full spectrum of workforce development programs and education services. This includes working with organizations and developing specialized coursework for disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged individuals. Dr. Cubit has evaluated programs to determine effectiveness of program outcomes. Dr. Cubit developed assessments, conducted meetings with business and industry leaders to ascertain the need for workforce development programs. Dr. Cubit has also established strategic plans for meeting regional workforce development needs and determined program outcomes based on labor market needs. Dr. Cubit has represented organizations on matters of regional workforce development activities, including establishing and maintaining close working relationships with local, regional, state and federal workforce development agencies. He has conducted meetings with regional workforce development agencies and officials in order to formulate and implement workforce development strategies. Dr. Cubit was also responsible for recruitment and expansion efforts for new and existing companies for which workforce development services were needed. He served as the primary point of contact relative to employment issues, recruitment services, and workforce pre-employment, start-up training, and retraining efforts. Dr. Cubit has established workforce development education programs that encompassed credit and non-credit courses. Moreover, He developed strategies to link workforce education curriculum to student learning objectives. Dr. Cubit also developed meaningful internships, co-op programs, and work experience programs for students in the region's industries and businesses. While working with the various education entities, Dr. Cubit communicated frequently with the academic entities on matters related to internships, grant performance, and associated workforce development issues. He was responsible for directing, managing, marketing, and community relations, and provided leadership, guidance, and supervision in order to implement comprehensive workforce development programs. Dr. Cubit has established working relationship with a variety of employers involved with workforce development programs. To develop effective and efficient work-based learning programs, employers were an integral part and essential for success. Periodically, Dr. Cubit conducted business roundtables and employers participated in order to discuss employment related issues. He was also the local contact for problems and issues related to labor laws. Dr. Cubit also consulted employers with problems concerning labor laws.
